Last week I gave you the exciting news that we have our very first Cup of Excellence coffee in house - the Rwandan Bourbon from the Kayanza Washing Station, the #17 lot at this year's competition. Since putting that word out I've had people already come forward asking to reserve their bag - guess they want to make sure they don't miss out on a good thing. So, beginning this week, if you want to reserve some of this special coffee, simply respond to this email and I'll get you on the list. Email at firstname.lastname@example.org
We plan to roll it out at the beginning of April. We will also be entering it to the April cupping of Coffee Review and hope to garner some national attention for this stellar coffee. At present I have enough to roast 45 bags. I already sold 10lbs to some home roasters. We will sell it at $17 per bag. I expect it to go briskly, so, don't let the grass grow under your feet. If response is good, I will try to get my hands on another 60lbs of it.
With a coffee this good, we really don't need any big write ups on tasting notes, etc. Out of the hundreds of coffee submitted to the Cup of Excellence in Rwanda, this coffee placed 17th. Only 5 points in score separated the top 36 coffees, which were then auctioned off Internationally. In the USA alone, only three coffees from this auction are available. So... this is one incredibly good and scarce coffee.
Let the pre-ordering begin. No need to pay now. Just let me know if you want me to reserve some for you.
