As you know, we began this coffee venture as a way to be philanthropic with the profits. We’ve also grown it as a side venture, devoting what time we can to it while we also maintain our teaching positions at MVCA. So far we’ve been able to do both and succeed.
With the summer farmer’s market season upon us, we want to expand beyond the Anderson Township Market and have a booth at one or more additional markets. However, with our present summer commitments and the reality of us traveling to Central America as well, Emily and I simply cannot add more to our plate. So we turn to you.
We are looking for two to four people who believe in our mission and would be willing to help us “man a booth” at a market in the Cincy/NKY area this summer. Responsibilities would be brewing and selling drip and whole bean coffee and pretty much sharing our story with the folks you come in contact with. Truth is, the more we grow, the more we increase in our ability to give.
The commitment is roughly 6-8 hours, one day per week from the end of May to the end of September. We are prepared to modestly compensate you for your time.
Obviously, there are a good bit of details left out in this blog entry. If you are interested in helping and have the time and passion to throw into this, please write us and we can continue the conversation. From what we experienced from our time last summer at the Anderson Market, the potential for increase is pretty awesome if we can find the right people to partner with us!
