Ethiopia Abana Estate
**All local pick up orders will remain available for 30 days. After 30 days they will be donated to a local charity due to storage space.**
This is the third year we've purchased coffee from Abana Estate, a farm in the Oromia zone of Ethiopia. This farm was started by the Omran family, and can be honestly called a social enterprise. They are committed to doing things the best way they can. This starts with the farm, utilizing technology and methods that are meaningfully sustainable and ecologically sound.
Abana Estate also gives back to the village they are in, using some of their profit to build a community sports field, fund schools, and help fund healthcare for villagers to get the treatments they need. Their commitment is to be a sustainably grown, socially responsible farm that produces high quality coffee.
This is a coffee they call "Ginjo", it's a washed coffee with a quick wash. We have been using this in our blends for over a year now and this season's ginjo was the best it has ever been. We are featuring it as a single origin to celebrate what a clean and bright profile that it offers. If you love it, remember that this is what gives Tres Fincas the great aromatics and acidity that it maintains year round!
