Limited Release #78 Musumba Hill Burundi
Hills are the smallest geo-political unit in Burundi and how the Long Miles Coffee Project (LMCP) separates its microlots. The coffee from Musumba Hill is produced by 245 farmers who bring their coffee to LMCP’s Bukeye washing station. It is a difficult 8 kilometers from hill to station. Because LMCP has heavily invested in the farmers from Musumba Hill, they are willing to make the arduous trek.
Long Miles Coffee Project is a cooperative who works with 3 washing stations and services a total of 11 hills. LMCP invests in farmer livelihoods, offers sustainable prices, and has high expectations for coffee quality. This is a combination that results in some of the highest quality coffee produced in Burundi year after year.
This particular coffee is washed and has shining notes of stone fruits which are balanced by a delicate citrus acidity. The body is both silky and juicy. Sure to delight!
In the cup: Apricot, Caramel, Lemon, Silky
