Limited Release #85 Irmãs Pereira Anaerobic Natural
Maria Valéria and Maria Rogéria are two sisters who own a 90-acre farm in Carmo de Minas, Brasil. These sisters inherited the farm from their parents who purchased the land in the 1970s. The two girls were raised as the coffee plants were established.
From an early age, they helped their father run the farm. Even after they were married, they continued the work and brought their husbands into coffee farming and production.
When Maria Valéria and Maria Rogéria enherited the farm they decided to change the estate's name from Fazenda Serrado to Irmãs Pereira. This new meaning translates as “Pereira Sisters.” This points to the bond that the sisters share for one another but also the love they share for their business.
The two are passionate about innovation in the coffee industry which is made apparent in the varieties that they grow and the experimental processes they employ. This beautiful natural anaerobic yellow catucai is a shining example!
