Carabello Coffee

Colombia Narino

**All local pick up orders will remain available for 30 days.  After 30 days they will be donated to a local charity due to storage space.**

This is from a producer named David Bolaños, a member of the FUDAM cooperative, just like Jesús Pajajoy.  David owns a small farm in La Union, in Northern Nariño. David has been a long standing member of this group, started back in the year 2000. Here's a small excerpt from the president of their cooperative, Raquel Lasso:

"FUDAM was born with the idea of starting, among the producers, to improve and change those agricultural practices to minimize negative influence on the environment.
We realized that there was a good market for quality coffee, that it was possible to produce quality coffee, coffee that could be differentiated, and that it was possible to have a traceability system in coffee. Those are all of the things we at FUDAM had always wished for. We discovered that for us, as smallholder producers, producing high-quality coffee was the viable option."

Thanks to this smallholder association, producers in these remote places get access to sustainable growing practices, and exceptional premiums that encourage these producers to keep going.
