Ethiopia Kayon Mountain
Most of us in specialty coffee have had an aha moment with coffee, where we realized the flavor possibilities that really delicious coffee has within itself. Almost all of those experiences have been with a natural Ethiopian coffee, such as this one.
The flavors that come from a well sorted, evenly dried, natural Ethiopia are easily detectable and nearly everyone is excited to identify the flavor of berries alongside a great mouthfeel.
This beautiful natural coffee is from a farm in East Guji, Ethiopia called "Kayon Mountain". It has been owned and operated by Ismael Hassen Aredo for eight years, and has become famous for superb quality. This is our second year purchasing a lot of coffee from this farm, through Cafe Imports. Due to the way coffee is sold in Ethiopia, it is not common to have coffees that are traceable to the farm, and we feel lucky to see this producer's hard work pay off in such amazing lots of coffee!
