This is another coffee from Santa Barbara mountain in Honduras, the same area where Rosenda Manueles grows coffee. It is exported through San Vicente mill, who helps secure premium prices for producers in this area of Honduras. This coffee is a newer varietal that is growing in popularity in Honduras, its called Paraneima. The varietal showcases explosive acidity, reminiscent of a Kenyan coffee, and Maria Fernandez grows a decent amount of it on her land. Through San Vicente we were able to pay Maria over and above good pricing for the quality and unique character of this coffee.
In the Cup
