This is now the 3rd year that we have released a Jubilation Blend for the Winter season. Keeping with our theme of using 3 coffees from our Nicaraguan friend Luis Albert Balladarez, this blend is composed of a single origin varietal of coffee processed three different ways.
The varietal is Pacamara and it is harvested from Luis' Finca La Bendicion outside Jalapa, Nicaragua. Pacamara is a hybrid varietal that was created by crossing pacas with maragogype. The beans are rather large and elongated. The process methods are: washed, honey and natural.
The result of this year's blend is a very smooth, medium bodied blend coffee that has a very unique and even festive sweetness and spice to it. In our minds it is perfect for the holidays. It is festive, fun, and celebrates our relationship with one of Nicaragua's best coffee farmers. It won't be around long, so enjoy it while you can!
