We Love Cincy: This Analog Menu is a Celebration of Cincinnati
Last year, while planning our Around the World menu at Analog—which includes drinks inspired by destinations like France, Italy, Japan, Türkiye, Puerto Rico, and more—Emily Carabello started to wonder what kind of drink she would create to represent Cincinnati.
For anyone not local who might be confused by that—Carabello Coffee is located in Newport, Kentucky, which is one of the cities that makes up what's known as Northern Kentucky. All of NKY is part of the Cincinnati metro area. Whether in Newport or Cincinnati proper, Cincinnati is our city!
From our strong German roots to our beloved sports' teams to local favorite restaurants, Cincinnati has so much variety to offer! So Emily thought, "Why not create a menu of drinks inspired by all the things Cincinnati is famous for?"
Our first Cincinnati menu was such a hit last year—especially our Black Raspberry Chip cortado served in a Graeter's waffle cone and our Cincinnati Chili Cappuccino, a nod to Skyline Chili—that we brought it back for another year!
This year's menu features 6 brand new drinks, including a new flavor of ice cream-inspired cortado, and one returning favorite. Come celebrate your love for all things Cincinnati with us!
Cincinnati Chili Capp

Our Skyline Chili Cappuccino needed a comeback! It's hard to have a menu celebrating what's unique about Cincinnati without acknowledge our interesting (and much loved) chili preferences. We thought it might be a little too much to put cheese ON the cappuccino, so we serve this spiced mocha cap—chocolate, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, and a bit of heat—with a cheese wisp and oyster crackers on the side. And yes, hot sauce is available!
Mint Chocolate Chip

Imagine walking into a Graeter's shop and asking if you could buy 180 waffle cones because you want to pour coffee into them...well, that's just what we did! Last year's Black Raspberry Chip cortado got a lot of hype, including a visit to Analog from a member of the Graeter family. This year, we took the same concept and chose another popular ice cream flavor...mint chocolate chip. This mint mocha cortado is served right inside a waffle cone! (But the best part might just be waiting for you at the bottom of the cone—get one to see what sweet bonus awaits!)
Reds' Affogato

According to Emily Carabello, this Reds' Crackerjack-inspired affogato is the best one she's ever had. If you aren't familiar, an affogato is a classic Italian dessert made by pouring a shot of espresso over vanilla ice cream or gelato. We took that basic concept and added a ballpark twist with caramel sauce, popcorn, and salty peanuts on top! And of course we had to serve it in the classic baseball cap cup.
The Conservatory

Krohn Conservatory is beloved in the city for its plants and location in beautiful Eden Park. However, it's the annual Butterfly Show that regularly draws the biggest crowds. This beautiful zero-proof gin mocktail could hold its own in any craft cocktail bar on an evening out...but you can drink it in the middle of the day at Analog! This sweet nectar is made with a homemade syrup of grapefruit, rosemary, and lavender mixed with a bit of butterfly pea flower tea and zero-proof gin.
Thai-ger Tea

These orange and black stripes just scream "Welcome to the Jungle." This Bengals twist on a Thai tea features orange-infused sweetened condensed milk and spiced black tea. How do we get those stripes to stay? We figured out a special way to freeze the black stripes on the cups before pouring the Thai-ger tea in! Get in the "who dey" spirit before the next big game with this refreshing drink!
A Hearty Prost

Bluddy LaRosa

LaRosa's is a Cincinnati pizza institution! Founded in 1954, it's been a staple in the area for decades. You probably wouldn't think (and we don't blame you) that PIZZA SAUCE could work in a beverage, but in a Bloody Mary it's actually brilliant! This is our first zero-proof Bloody Mary. The LaRosa's pizza sauce pairs perfectly with savory vegetable juice, zesty lemon, celery salt, and a dash of heat. Comes garnished with celery, lemon, and pepperoni!
Cincinnati Style Chili Popcorn

Al's popcorn is made right here in Cincinnati! We wanted to have some local snack options on offer (like Grippo's Bar-B-Q chips—not pictured) to go along with your Cincy drinks. This flavor option is Cincinnati Style Chili and we think it's pretty spot on!
Now that you've had a little behind-the-scenes on this menu, we hope you can't wait to try it! These drinks and snacks are on offer only at the Analog Bar in our Newport café. Stop by between the hours of 10am-5pm, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Pro tip: Make a reservation at Analog. Walk ups are welcome, but a reservation—especially on busy Saturdays—guarantees a seat for you at our 6-seat bar for an hour. We'd love to see you there!
