Nati Red X

Batter up! It's Opening Day! This means munching on peanuts and Cracker Jack while singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” And for us, it also means releasing one of our most anticipated coffees of the year: Nati Red!

This is Nati Red's 10th season and it's always a home run hitter! Each year we work directly with Luis Balladerez to select a fruit bomb of a coffee to celebrate the start of the baseball season. We are so thankful for Luis' friendship and are truly grateful to be offered such wonderful coffees from him year after year. Luis is known across the world for producing exceptionally high quality microlots and much of this is due to his precision and attention to detail at every point of the coffee’s production. 

Luis owns several farms and each one is unique in terroir. The farm Lo Prometido sits at 1,600 meters above sea level and is nestled within the mountains along the Mozonte municipality. It is a cool and shaded farm that produces slow growing, high quality coffee. Lo Prometido is one of his newest farms and is treated as a proving ground for innovation. Here he grows several varieties and experiments with growing, harvesting, and processing practices. Each year the coffee from Lo Prometido just gets better and better! 

Notes: As the name suggests, this is year number 10 for this special release fruit bomb coffee. This feels like a milestone! From the beginning, Nati Red has always been a natural coffee from Luis Balladarez. We also have a very limited amount of this coffee— 125 bags to be exact!
