Carabello Coffee

La Bendicion Pacamara

$7.50

This spring Justin and our lead roaster Shannon traveled to Nicaragua to visit our dear friend Luis Alberto Balladarez. For many years, Luis has been teaching his children everything he knows about coffee. During this visit, we got to see his children Luis Gadiel, Cindy, her husband Jamir, and Maria Josue taking over the reins of the business. In addition to spending time catching up with the Balladarez family, Justin and Shannon got to see what new methods were being employed at the farms and Beneficio Las Segovias. To cap it all off, they enjoyed getting to know several of Luis’s employees while sharing a large meal together!

This coffee comes from finca La Bendición which spans 252 acres of land and about half of that is dedicated to cultivating coffee. The name of the farm means “the blessing” and has been in Luis’s family for four generations. This land is divided into 8 parcels, each with their own unique varietals planted on it. The pacamara lots from La Bendición, including this one, are some of our favorites.

In the Cup: Bright, Tropical, Honeydew, Nougat, Floral, Delicate
